Hello. Welcome to my Shadowrun site. I consider this blog to be a sister site to my Chaos Magic website. I started this blog because I felt my Shadowrun material didn't fit well with what I'm doing on Chaos Magic. That feels strange to say when Chaos Magic has expanded greatly beyond the Warhammer blog it started as. Topics such as World War 2/3, mechs and fantasy knights don't exactly well either, but the fact that each of those have roots in war gaming is what gives them all a thread of connection. A connection Shadowrun doesn't have. Instead I felt it was appropriate to start a new blog that focus on Shadowrun and other pen and paper rpgs.
So what exactly am I going to write about here? At least to start I will have three different projects. The main one is an ongoing short stories. I am currently in a Shadowrun 4th edition game. I have taken notes on every sessions (some notes weren't very good) and I plan on turning those session notes into short stories from my character's point of view. Once I start publishing them they will come out every 2 weeks. Giving that my character is a spirit and a little native I think these stories are going to be fun rides. The second project I want to do is something I mention on Chaos Magic. I want to do a show about me and others playing Shadowrun: Crossfire and turning the gameplay into an ongoing story. I worked on 2 outlines for characters for this before I ended up quitting. I gave up on it because it was the first example of a series that didn't fit in with the rest of my Chaos Magic work and I knew it required skills I didn't have in video editing. I have since worked on making videos and now know a little of what it takes to make this work. The third project will be me writing about memorable or interesting role play games I've been apart of in my 20 year history. I've played in a lot of games and some of them have some gems that are worth retelling.
I don't know where this blog will take me, much like I could never imagine where I am with Chaos Magic now when I started that. What I can say is that if you enjoy the world of Shadowrun, cyber-punk or just role playing games in general, you will find something here to your liking.
